Mt. Airy, NC | Martin we are milking about 400. We scrap into a 12x12x6 pit with a houle pit agitator. Works really good when the manure is wet. If the manure gets dry it can be a pain in the butt to keep it working right. A nice windy day about 70 degrees with low humidity you might as well just push it in the pond. If I had it to do over I would go with a sand settling lane. We only have one pond so having enough water to run a sand lane was out of the question. Should have built another pond and put the lane in. we will do that in the next year or two. | |
