I vote for BCS, no belts or chains. You can buy attachements for them and use then for many other jobs, chipper, snowblower etc.
BCS tines go many times faster; which allows it to do much more in a single pass. Gearbox that drive the tines is smaller and thinner so you have less "drag" in the middle.
It is a professional tiller, and priced likewise. We have tried both Troy Built and BCS.
We would much prefer the BCS.
