School Of Hard Knock - 3/2/2012 21:36 No. ..............They did not fire evenly on every rotation of 360 degrees of the crank like a engine that both pistons come up at the exact same time. Those engines pistons dont fire at the same time either however. They ran..........chug, chug, miss miss, chug chug miss miss.chugchug, miss miss Clear as mud?The crank had one piston (top dc positionfiring ) and one in down (bottom center exhaust )position when it fired 1 plug. 4 stroke engines.

Yep. You pretty much hit the nail on the head!

Although granto your thinking is not too far off for the pulling world. Most of the succesful 2 cylinder pullers around here have a *360 crank where both pistons come up together and both fire together. This may not sound like the best idea but once you counterballance the crank and replace the orginal cast flywheel with a steel flywheel they run as smooth, or smoother, than a stock 2 cylinder and have a much different sound to them. I already have plans drawn up for somewhat of a hybrid puller that uses this type of crank along with alot of other things I do not want to mention. It will be much more advanced than my current stroker that I pull...

Here is a good example of a 2 cylinder with a *360 crank. It actually still runs pretty good with the NA tractors. I know way more about this tractor than I should and have alot of pictures of it with the hood and sideshields taken off.
