corn today $6.32-on my wet ddgg's could not bang enough protein to make it work-usually if you bang the calculator enough they price by-products almost to the price of corn,would not agree with you Mark,but then I'm a small feeder with 100 head pens-I do use by-products when they are priced accordingly-hard to beat my corn or silage next to by-products-if that was the case on the energy gain then my 37% moisture cracked corn in the pit with less then1/2# of soybean meal should be a home run-what protein range on these 500# calves should we shoot for?
