I would cull what needed to be culled just like always. I dont think over culling is the thing to do because you can get good calves out of less than perfect cows. If the human population was culled like we do cows most of us would not be here. I see myself raising cattle probably until I am unable to so I will keep the number that I can handle and carry on. These cull prices are really cutting the cattle numbers down though. There were alot of folks that sold out when they got high and plenty more that are waiting to go when the price hits the right amount. I guess we all have our price. I will say if I had a cow that I wanted to get one more calf out of and was sure she was done after that I would let her go now.
