It's pretty rare around here to see the well right at the pivot. In some cases the well can be 1/2 mile away from the pivot depending on where the best water is found. I have a 1/2 mile machine serviced by 2 wells, one is half mile to the south and the other 1/4 mile to the north of the pivot.
