Was coming out of Houston in the early 80's and received a call on the CB that my brakes were on fire. Was loaded with 9900 gallons of Propane. Pulled off to the shoulder, grabbed my fire extingusher and a 2 gallon bucket. emptied the extinguisher and then started grabbing water out of the berm. Got the fire out and brakes cooled off and waited for daylight. About 9 the next morning a sherrifs depuey stopped and said "I see you got the fire out". I asked him how he knew I had a fire and he said that he was listening to the CB the night before. Asked him why he didn't come by then and he said he wasn't a damn fool.
