western iowa | It pays to use the study guides, especially if you are not familiar with the workings of air brakes, on the written tests. If you are not very experienced at driving a semi, it might be a good idea to pay one of the companys that help you pass the driving test. I paid $200 and they showed me everything about the pre-trip inspection, practiced the skills part and drove the standard route with me. They had a little single axle daycab with an automatic transmission and a flatbed trailer to use. It still took me 2 trys at the driving part of the test. Good Luck!! | |
