The '97 model 2144 is better than the earlier ones and nearly the same as the 2344, no major difference, but the 23 is a little more refined. Later 2144 and 2344 were rated at 174hp instead of 180 because in 1997 emissions regulations kicked in at 175hp. My 2144 was turned up and would push a 30' 1020 head at 5 mph in 50 bu beans.
