Ditto CJ. Hole saw (not sawzall) and a tap tee is the way to do it. We use tap tees anywhere we can in tile system intallation...any where we are hooking up a 4" in to a 6" or larger pipe. We don't usually use gravel backfill as long as we have a good solid trench floor at the proper level and angle to support the tap tee and 4" pipe. If it's soft, then we use gravel. We usually come straight into the middle of the side of the larger pipe, or slightly higher.
