| I currently have one that is stuck in our old farm pu. I have used them for several years and always put anti-seize on them when I turned the ball down. I don't use the ball that often and never had any problems. This one stuck with the ball up & had only been that way for a week or so. I can slide it up & down by hand part ways but it won't come out. We've even chained a fork truck to it but will only lift the back of the pick up off the ground. I'd leave it but as I said we don't use it that often & with the ball up it's in the way when we load pallets and such so I guess I'm going to have to cut it out.
The B&W is the only type I have used so can't recommend any other brand. If doing over again I would still go with the B&W. The only thing I would worry about leaving it out would be the receiver getting full of crap and rusting worse.
