I have seen a water line run inside a 6-8" PVC that runs through pit floor. up through slats and tank pad. This seems to work well. The best thing about water tanks on slats is you can put adjustmant screw in watertank lid to depress float and run the tank over a trickle, cheaper than tank heater. I would put in 4" heavy PVC waterline to barn. This essentially increases pressure tank size and available water. Do you have experience stirring and pumping cattle manure? You MAY have trouble getting solids off of the pit floor on 40' pens. If someone is designing this that works with hog manure, it is not the same. Feedstuffs can also make a big differnece in manure solids. Email in profile if needed.
Can you explain rubber flooring?
Eric
