Rivers, MB | Because of our beloved CWB, we do not have many options other than a getting a broker and hedging on Minneapolis. I wonder if the CWB will change their FPC rules so that we can lock in prices earlier than 2008. I would consider selling some wheat as well if I could. I think if enough of us called the CWB, they might bump up the date. It used to be that you could only do basis and fixed price till July 31 of the current crop year and they have now changed it to October 31 because of farmer feedback. | |
