If it's Monosem's latest row unit with the offset opener blades, be sure to chop off the lower end of their silly seed tube guard that hangs down below the blades -- if you're using it in no-till, or in moist soils with any significant clay content. You don't want the bottom of the furrow smeared and compacted by this device dragging thru it under high pressure.

[Edit: I had a brain fart while posting -- Monosem's blade configuration is still the same as Kinze, JD, and White.]
