NESD | 1) Call local John Deere dealer in morning.
2) Get a trade price on nice recent trades at said dealer.
3) Sign purchase order and then sign personal check......need not be in that order.
In all seriousness Deereman I know exactly what you are talking about. Our 1790 that we traded off had some of those same issues, it seems there were some casting problems on certain planters. If I remember correctly I ended up grinding the arms on the flat spot by the adjustment. I think we also ended up getting some different arms for a few. You may want to get a new arm and compare to yours and see if the casting is any different.
