I think it would work out better in snow area to just make the building bigger and forget the lean to. The expense comes from reinforcing the lean to roof to support the snow sliding / blowing off the main roof. I have 20 x 16 rollups with no issues. Put poultry netting under the insulation, when it starts to go to crap in 15 years it will not only keep it nice looking but will keep the birds out.
