| From NE Indiana, have replanted some 400 acres of beans and 300 acres of corn planted on May 9,10. Early planted (4/21,22) corn and beans look good, but not great like last two years. Worst start to a year of the 27 crops I have planted. Still have 200 acres of failed corn to replant with beans but with the pounding of rain we got yesterday we will be out till next week. Crop insurance for failed corn is my plan now as replanting will now be delayed until after the 6/5 late date. Very depressing year. | |
