Subject: Upgrading air compressor. Quincy vs Ingersoll Rand

Paxton, IL

I've been looking into upgrading my current air compressor and have found some quincy and ingersoll rand models locally.  Both are have about the same specs and similar price.  I've heard good things about both.  All things being equal which one would you buy?

I'm probably looking at a 60 gal rather than an 80 gal since I already have more air tanks mounted in my shop for extra capacity.  What range of CFM would you be looking at.  I haven't dealt with many air tools because my old compressor couldn't handle much, but I have a few air ratchets, a couple DA sanders (that only get used once a year or so) and a 3/4" impact.  Looking for enough capacity that I don't have to sit around and wait for it to catch up all the time like I do now.  I would also like enough air capacity to handle any future needs I might have.
