Southeastern Kansas | Thanks for the replies very helpful. Capacitors yes that is the word not transformers. I knew that was not right but couldn't come up with the right word. I don't think anything is wrong with the original roto phase but it takes forever to wind up the 20 hp fan and the electrician gets shook up over it. Plate on the roto phase says 20 hp max starting. He thinks this new deal will do better. Had several electricians look at the problem and every one gave a different opinion. Spent over 10M on moving the service closer to the bin and so far nothing has changed on getting the fan to start quicker. Still the same as the original setup that is over 30 yrs old and 200 ft away from the bin. Hmmmm!!! | |
