Would you say the same if the SUV was going 33 mph. (it is still speeding) and I don't think you can be charged reckless driving until 15mph over the posted limit anyways. The officer wasn't paying attention is the problem. He admitted that he was looking at the radar not the road. Also, if the lights got turned off the officer shood get a speeding ticket and be the one charged with manslaughter. I might be wrong about this, and someone correct me if I am, but LEO officers have to obey the same speed limits unless the have there lights activated. 72 mph is over twice the posted limit )if it was still 35mph.

All the more reason that I think it is BS for LEOs to be talking on the phone or messing around with their computers while driving.
