SE MI | Hauled scrap right before the new year. Pure stainless was $.27, aluminum was $.20, brass was $.22, copper was $.26 and mixed scrap was $.11. It paid to ge the precious metals separated if you have the time. The scrap yard 12 miles down the road was paying 15% more, BUT they issue a check for anything over $150 and send you a 1099. Where I hauled was still pure cash. Trade-off is up to you. | |
