1,000,000 is on up there, we've been on both sides of 1M with OH's. Our best 12.7 went 1,400,000 on the original engine, but we've rebuilt some as low as 800,000. One of the things to look at when OHing a 1M mile engine is the bull gears on the front of the engine, that is the weak link. Worst case IMO on a OH would be @11K, that would include a complete OH,head,bull gears, and a turbo.
