Walnut Grove MN USA | Got a '95 detroit with a 13 speed in a Volvo. Good engine, cheaper to rebuild than others, need overhead run every 100,000 or so, if it isn't done they can drop a valve. Some where in the mid '90's they had some cam issues, if yours has over 600,000 it has probably been taken care of long ago. The detroits sound pretty bad when started in cold weather and smoke a lot but they do come around. If at some point you need to replace an injector do all at once, quite a job to do, takes better part of a day for a guy that knows what he is doing and six don't take much longer than one. | |
