That is an interesting link. Did the later Case IH 4wd's use a similar version of that trans. in them? I drove a new 9230 I think it was when they sent me to racine in the early 90s and thats how it was with the handle. Just hold it foreward or backward to shift up or down.

Im not realy up on the older stiegers. Neighbor of dads that I rent ground from now has a couger with a cat engine and manual trans.  Its always been the go to tractor of the nighborhood when someone gets stuck real bad if you know what I mean. :) It has 30.5 inside tires with 24.5 duals.
