Ripon, WI | Like Pofarmer, I started on a PS1. We had a Lotus type program that was called Framework. This was during the mid 1980's and during the corn Reserve program. I built a spreadsheet to keep track of prepaid storage on elevator stored reserve corn. There was a tab that kept the program from calculating each time you hit enter, call un-calc. The reason for not letting it auto-calc was that when I finished each month, I would hit the "re-calc" button, go to lunch and when I came back, it was still calculating. You could watch it go from frame to frame. Took forever, but we were "computin." | |
