Tuscola County, MI | Our Krause Dominator does a pretty good job of burying stalks in one pass. We still use the plow for the clover after wheat and corn going to soybeans only if it is not light ground, then the Dominator comes in. I do not like to plow for beets because it is so much softer and stickier if it is wet during harvest and we have not had a reduction in beet yields because of it. I also like the trash on top to protect the beets when they are small. If the beets are not following corn we spread rye with the fall fertilizer for cover. | |
