West Kentucky | In general, I think he puts a lot of good/useful information out for us to apply as we see fit. Not everything he finds applies to this or any other location but is based off his findings at those locations. I had an interesting conversation about in line ripping with him several years ago that would apply to the other post. He told me pertaining to ripping when the ground was full of moisture that "if you can phsically pull the ripper forward then you are doing more good then harm and should be ripping". That may be true in a convential tillage situation, but I do not think it will work on our soils if we plan on being minimum tillage or less.
