That is interesting as you are so close in mileage but so different in soil, weather, and practices.

Annual ryegrass has worked on a lot of farms and I know of guys who planted thousands of acres of it to loosen and improve their soils.

Like you I am on a much smaller scale but even that has increased the past few years.

I know every time I harvest I would like to be planting another crop for cover or harvest.

There is great power in cover crops, power I think we have just began to learn about.
