| I doubt that the reports on the major ag commodities are discontinued. The gov. has a need to know where we stand and what to expect for a lot of reasons. One reason, the food supply is a matter of national security, another reason, ag commodities can be and have been used in the forgien policy arena, so the gov would need to know what cards they're holding. The cost is in the gathering of the info, not much cost in releasing the findings so why not make it public. The gov. can play with the numbers to influence a lot of things but they have to make the numbers known. | |
