Subject: RE: farming and booze

A dear old friend thought he could handle a few drinks a day. This went on for several years. Then one day, he ran over his young son with a semi and killed him. Basically he died that day with his son as his life changed for the worse and never got better from that day forward. The so called "accident" was the result of the booze. He was oblivious to his surroundings. He fell apart, his family fell apart, the neighborhood looked upon him with less respect. He lost it all. Everything that meant anything to him was gone. All for the sake of that euphoric "feeling" alcohol can give. From that day forward, were'nt no amount of euphoria could undo what had been done.

I am very greatful that I somehow came to a conclusion that I needed to quit. I have not touched a drop in well over 20 years, and I have to say, it was one of the top 3 best decisions I have ever made in my life. I have no issues with others that like to have a drink or two, or how ever many they wish as long as they dont drive or put their family in harms way. In fact, it is quite fun to play pranks on friends that are hungover. d:-)
