Subject: RE: Market "freedom" comes at a cost

SW Saskatchewan
A high cost to our democracy.

NEVER in Canadian history has a Prime Minister choked debate in Parliament like this.

TWO hrs total in Parliament.

TWO days of secret committee hearings. No disclosure, no witnesses, no reporters, no information!

Even TRUDEAU did not do this when he imposed martial law in response to the Quebec in the October crisis.

Mackenzie-King didn't do it during the war years, even when sitting members of Parliament were members of the Communist Party (cpc).

PS: I know what will happen. I have raised cattle when US farmers blockaded the Highway entry ports to the US. I have seen what the US farm lobby can do if their income security is threatened.
I have seen what the BSE crisis did to Canadian beef exports to the US. I know what US trade action has done to Canadian Wheat, durum and malting barley.

Need I go further?
