NC
We use dry and wet
Especially i the winter I think he has enough animals to utilize wet
I prefer the wet- you get more bang for your buck (nutritionally) and the cattle eat it better. And for the cows you can feed them twice as much and only every other day- and get the same results as feeding everyday.(true for dry too)

. you can replace SOME of the corn for the backgrounders
and probably all of the corn for the cows. And totally eliminate the protein pellets for both.

For just supplement feeding in a bunk the Dry would be easier- just run it like he does the corn now. I am not sure how your feed box works but mine has an auger in the bottom and DCGF flows out of it just fine.
Only exception is he'll need to put out a mineral VERY high in calcium
It will take a few days for them to acquire a taste for straight CGF. so I would top dress with something ummy when starting calves on CGF.

How much to feed depends on alot of issues you haven't covered..
