Subject: Corn Gluten for small operation

Top middle of MO. land of green hills and grass
FIL has about 75-100 momma cows, and buys in about that many more weaned calves and feeds through the winter. Normal ration has been a protein pellet supplement with shelled corn. With corn prices at the level they are, tough to pencil in profit. He's looking at utilizing corn gluten--wet or dry as a replacement for the corn. With the herd that he has, what equipment should he be looking at to handle it? Right now has a couple gravity wagons for corn/pellets, and one of those feed boxes that he mounts on the loader fork to carry feed to the field. I've never handled CGF, used the CG pellets, so don't know what to look for. I'm concerned with spoilage on the wet with the amount he'll be feeding. Any thoughts would help.
