Southeastern Alberta | Consideration should be given to what happens when the sun is not directly above as well. At points during the early morning or late evening, a 30 inch spaced plant will intercept all of the light as well even when the plants are smaller. (and the plants will shade the interrow area). During those time of the day, sunlight is not as intense, but still is something to consider.
Once you start down that road, questions about seeding direction come up as well, and at what angle the sunlight comes at various times during the growing season. | |
