North Central Ohio, across the Corn belt !

houndog - 10/13/2011 21:21 We have taken a couple hundred acres off now in North central Ohio and yields are down here to. Noticing a lot more dropped ears on the ground this week. I think this crop is not going to stand log either If you have not been checking your corn in the field it will be well worth your time to walk some if you are waiting for corn to dry in the field you may change your mind after walking in them a ways. We got rained out the afternoon today and weather looks like more rain coming. Good luck and get r done.

the 1st. 400 acres is off. planted the 1st. week of May.  We were Pleasantly surprised for all these fields went through.

Harvest moisture was right at 22%

across the scales sold bu. was 182.3

the Combine operators reported good stalk quality and no ear drop.

110 day corn.  all standing well.   this was a Channel number.

We have thought all summer that this 1st. planted field for this area N.C. Ohio  Farm would be the Poorest. Heavy hail and rain then turning dry and very hot when Pollinating.

on Sat. afternoon they went back to the S.B. fields.
