Subject: RE: 30" vs. 15" row yield

Marysville, Ohio
I have 80 acres of no till beans in 30" rows and they look great. I switched from 6" drilled because of White mold which I have no problem with now but had yield losses in the past. Have not seen much of a yield loss because of the switch but we don't have the overhead of owning a separate piece of equipment. If I need a drill I rent the neighbors. I would go back to drilled beans if I planted in a situation where the beans would be no as tall such as in mid June planting. By planting I have the option of applying fertilizer beside the row.

We live in Central Ohio where the crops look average. Harvest just started this last week.
