Central Arkansas
We had a field 38" and a field 15" within a half mile of each other. Same variety. Both irrigated--15" with levees, and the 38" with furrow irrigation. Yield was identical at 50 bpa. I prefer the wide rows to give me the option of running the hooded sprayer on resistant palmer pigweed, and it furrow irrigates easier with polypipe. Easier to cut, also.
