Subject: A swather for cotton! ? Interesting.

Little River, TX
Swung by our local multicolored equipment dealer and they were servicing a brand new grain swather. It is going to a cotton farmer.

Is cotton worth more as hay than for fiber?

Not being in the loop, I wonder if they are baling insurance paid busted cotton crop for a little something extra.

Maybe the cotton yield is so bad it is not worth the cost to harvest as cotton???

In my youth we were happy with a half bale yield and saw a lot of less than quarter bale/A yield.

Irregardlessly it is interesting, to me.
