| When we bought our house I think I remember the term "broom clean" in some of the documents. The sellers were absentee heirs who rented to a single woman with 4 children who trashed the place. It appeared that no one was going to clean until the seller's agent and our agent, who worked for the same agency, pitched in and hired a professional cleaning service. We really appreciated that and bought each of them a gift certificate to a nice restaurant for all their hard work in making the deal come together. I'd wouldn't make too many repairs but I'd give it a good cleaning once my stuff was moved out. Never sold a home but I like the gift basket idea. | |
