Where Lewis and Clark finished the rum
You wouldn't need a WAP on the shop side at all. But you do need something like a WAP or router at the house. If you really only want 1 computer in the shop, then a usb wifi wok at the shop end should be adequate - for about $50 on the shop side. See You wouldn't need a WAP on the shop side at all. But you do need something like a WAP or router at the house, See = http://www.usbwifi.orcon.net.nz/ or http://www.engadget.com/2005/03/22/wifi-wok-and-the-chinese-cookwar... You could always go to a WAP and external antenna on the shop side, but I think it is overkill, and more $$ than you need to spend.

EDIT - you don't need a WOK either. I've had good success with a $2sih stainless steel colander from Wally World. Could see omni antennaed WAP from a couple kilometers ( a mile ish).
