Sadly I was there and this was ISU's game to lose from the opening drive til the end.
ISU was making bad mistakes that kept Iowa in the game. ISU turnovers and penalties were the only thing keeping Iowa in the game.
My only beef with any of Iowa's coaching was the decision to run out the clock at the end of both halves. Ferentz does that every chance he gets and it is just infuriating to watch 2 minutes run off the clock with the score tied when you've got a QB with a good arm, pretty good recievers and 2 timeouts.
As I've already said both sides of the ball need a lot of work and the kickoff/punt coverage needs a TON of work.
Currently this is a very bad Iowa team. Fortunately Ferentz coached Iowa teams seem to do the best when expectations are at their lowest.
