Several people here have tried topping grain corn in the past to help drydown. Most guys only did it once.

I know of one grower this year that topped a bunch of grain corn so that it would either dry down better or stand better to be harvested in March. They topped some of the fields WAY before black layer, like maybe when the first dents appeared. I'm interested in seeing the results of that move.
