Colby, Kansas
So I'm curious, which do you think is a riskier crop to grow in NW Kans. dryland corn or canola?

Worked with winter canola for 4 years,,, I know what my vote would be.

In my opinion canola has much greater barriers to adoption in NW Kansas than the profitability of corn production.

To the question at hand, I think they are pulling some out of the South-central KS area. They were also crushing the safflower for Dreamland Industries that was being grown in West Texas and Western Kansas.

Regards,
Lucas
