Kingston,Mi
Amoung the trees listed as salt tolerant on a Penn. web site is Honey Locust. It is thornless and most important, seedless. Red and white oaks were also listed. I have several different red or pin oaks in my yard, one of which has very fine or small limbs rather like a evergreen instead of large heavy branches, a very pretty form. The oaks are all about the same age, about 25 to 30 years old and 12 to 15 inches in dia. at breast height. The oak that I like has not set very many acorns as of yet, but I think I may have found some that the squirrles stashed. I will transplant these and see what developes.
