Subject: Re: 15" no-till wheat

i grew 15" wheat last year. i averaged 65bu. all i did was burn down before planting with gramaxone and i put out 100 units of N and Harmony in March. I had a few marestail poke thru right before harvest. i do some custom harvest and the guy averaged 100+bu. It was broadcast and incorporated. He put out two fungicides and and an insecticide and coron. Along with Harmony and topdress N.

it was two different varaties. if i would have planted Pioneer 26R22 I would have made more wheat.

i am not against trying 15" wheat again. but next time i try it i wont be in the hole from the previous crop. that 40bu more to the acre would have went along way paying bills.
