West Union, IOWA FLOLO Farm 52175

I guess I still don't see why ILLFF was so special?

Most of us "outsiders" looked at as if a couple of guys teamed up and put the land base together.... which made them a sizable operation and probably enabled them a base to bid against...

Did they have some new interesting "propaganda" heck yes..... but doesn't everybody think they're doing things right?  Heck I was enjoying reading a learning about them vs condemning them....As far as some of the comments about paying outrageous prices for ground and stuff--

Seems to about the time I started farming I had pretty stiff competition for ground and would pay up front for it.... and landlords swarmed to their office...... Heck they even offered 10 to 15 yr contracts, and I think they capped acres at 36 MILLION acres....

They called that CRP--

But in the end,how many operation really would've been affected if ILLFF never formed and the cooperators of ILLFF would've stayed solo??  And How many more farmers would we have, if CRP never happened?

Not going to argue this-- but think about it?
