Subject: Three directions....at least

Blvd d'Espair Bowhill, Sth Aust

Some of us think the DIL was simply confused and frustrated and unfamiliar with how things worked. I think this has since been established beyond doubt as not being the actual situation.
That leaves two other positions, both of which centre on her lying and being deceitful, or, to use the euphemism of  some... "stretching the truth".

Some of us think she was frustrated but knew exactly how things worked and was justified in lying to achieve what she wanted. "The ends justifies the means...".

Some of us think she lied to achieve what she wanted, but feel that just isnt an acceptable way of conducting one's affairs.

So the discussion in this thread boils down to  " Is it  right or appropiate to be dishonest to get what you feel you deserve, when you think  you have been wronged by another ? ".

I find it quite fascinating that most of the "ends justifies the means" camp in particular, are quite openly hostile towards the "unacceptable way" group for stating that position.

 People is sure strange critters...
