I don't like wheat after sod but I have seen decent crops done that way. Needs to be killed 2 weeks to stop the green bridge effect. I have had better luck planting radishes in it now and going to beans or corn next spring.

This is another place where a trychaderma like SabrEx or Quick Roots for Wheat will give you a little protection against fungus in the wheat or next year for corn.
