Subject: Cropping decisions takes the fun out of farming

I get more confused every year on what and how much to plant. I think I might be reading too much. One magazine article says corn is better, another article says soybeans are better. Farming used to be so much easier...had a choice of 6 varieties to choose from. Now company's have 60 to choose from and cost 3 times as much.

How do you decide what crops to plant?

What would make farming easier again (and more enjoyable)?
