Subject: Re: Flying Today-CIL-Macon County Pics-UGLY

Macon, IL
Bunch planted 4/10-4/14 and then not much till May 10 or so.

I am no agronomist, and most here know more than me. But what I am thinking is that the brown stuff has just died-and the green stuff is still maturing at what would be a normal rate. I don't know if it is fertility or what-but it is very consistent across the county and doesn't seem to be related to hybrid or planting date.

I am marking some spots in my fields and will be soil testing later.

Have spoken to a couple guys today-both are seeing yeild monitor flutuate from 18%-28% across the field. They said they will be picking 100 bushel corn at 18% and then for 30 seconds they will hit a green patch and monitor jumps to 200 bushel and 28%.
